The Zennox USB turntable come with an Audacity CD . Audacity is free, open source software for recording and editing sounds. It is available for Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, GNU/Linux, and other operating systems. The freeware can be downloaded directly from http://audacity.sourceforge.net
As well as recording Audio input from the player Audacity can be used to make your own music with multi track layering !!

This turntable was sold widely in a Daily Mirror special offer , so that old recordings such as 78s could be easily put onto CD , the instructions with the unit are however far form clear and this site tries to explain in a simple way how to get the item working well . The information is probably useful for any turntable which relies on Audacity software
